The anvil is not afraid of the Hammer- Spurgeon

God, by His blessed grace, is hammering me into a useful vessel fit for His Kingdom.

The Love of a Father is Real

The Love of a Father

 John 14:23
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him……

The Love of a Father……

The Love of a Father

The Love of a Father is……something special

The Love of a Father is……nurtured through sickness and hurts

The Love of a Father is……caring, instructive, and velvet covered iron

The Love of a Father: Feet on the Ground

We, as men, often have difficulty expressing our feelings, showing our emotions, or letting our guards down.  We must be strong, never wavering, facing all the challenges this life brings with nerves of steel.  We have responsibilities: we are to care for, nurture, and discipline those little bundles of joy as they grow into ever increasingly opinionated individuals bent on making us prematurely gray.

The love of a Father should, when rightly understood, be both firm and gentle, fun and serious, structured and care-free….

Little eyes and ears are watching you……little hands and mouths will imitate you…..little lives will follow where you lead…

Are you showing the Love of a Father to your children?

The Love of a Father: From Heaven

Our Heavenly Father’s love is…….unconditional

His Love is…..Limitless for His children

His Love is…..is Sacrificial

His Love is…..Providential

His Love is…..Holy and Pure

Fathers, we are to reflect HIS love into the lives of our children…..we are to  model Godly behavior before them; ever striving to lay a Biblical foundation that will show the love of a Father to them.  A Foundation built on nothing less than Jesus blood and Righteousness.

A real Father does not neglect his duties, spurn his responsibilities, or forget that as we are both disciplined and forgiven by our Father in Heaven so to should we both discipline and forgive.

Fathers, we are not perfect, we will fail, and we most certainly will mess our children’s lives up in some way….but remember this: Our Father in Heaven is Perfect, Holy, and Just and there is no ONE better to commit our children to than Him

How has the Love of a Father affected your life?

God bless and Keep the Faith
